This opto blocking module is based on the opto blocking sensor and a LM393, when block the gap of the sensor, it will output high power level, this single(analog signal) send to the positive port of LM393 and then it output high power level, it is obviously that this module can sent out the analog signal and digital signal, the principle of it is the same as IR motion module, when swiping a card through the gap of opto blocking module, the card has block the IR from the emitter and the module output high, then the card leave the gap, and the module output low, so, we can use it to count the object through the gap or measure the velocity by measure the time of how long the object go through the gap, and use the object’s length divide the time, then you can get the velocity.
